Keep the houses open.
State grants do not cover the full cost of 24-hour care. Gifts, time, and groceries all keep Includid going.
Includid receives residents’ disability grants and some provincial support. It is not enough for eight homes, 27 staff, food, transport, and building maintenance. When donor funding thins, the houses themselves are at risk.
A gift here is not abstract. It is a bed that stays made, a salary that stays paid, a garden that keeps feeding 71 people.
Goods
Non-perishable food, toiletries, linen, and garden tools are always needed.
Skills
Tradespeople, nurses, bookkeepers, and drivers make an outsized difference.
Visit
Most residents have no family. A regular visit is a form of care.
